The “Too Close to Shoot" Pro Course teaches how to use the pistol effectively in hand-to-hand and close quarter battle (CQB) situations. This training is a must for any person who owns a handgun for self defense purposes! Contrary to what many people think, having a pistol without hand-to-hand knowledge and skills, in many cases is useless without knowing how to deflect a physical attack, disconnect and disengage correctly from the attack or run past a hostile crowd.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
In this course students will learn:

How to access and use the pistol effectively at close contact combat range;
Train and elevate their self-confidence and their use of weapons; and,
How to think, react, and fight under pressure, with the pistol and/or hand-to-hand combat.

THE TRAINING:
This ICCS-Pro Course is a two-day event as follows:

DAY 1:
Situational Awareness (lecture);
Identifying Suspicious Behavior & Body Language (lecture);
Identifying Suspicious Vehicles (lecture);
Crowd Passing techniques;
Dealing against a Knife Attack (empty handed);
Knife Attack scenario training;
Proper Handgun Draw techniques;
Accessing the Handgun while under a Knife Attack; and,
Scenario Training.

DAY 2:
Clinch Fighting and Ground Fighting with a Handgun;
Weapon Retention techniques;
Basic Control and Restrain techniques;
Basic Team Work techniques (2 on 1);
Searching a Suspect;
Scenario training;
Empowering Force-on-Force training scenarios.

Students ages 14 years and older are welcome to attend. Those under age 18 must be accompanied by a legal parent / guardian.

THE INSTRUCTORS:

SHARIR RICHMAN
Chief Instructor Sharir Richman is the founder and head instructor of Israeli Contact Combat System (ICCS) Krav Maga - a multinational/global federation of Krav Maga clubs. Sharir served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as Combat Engineer/ Force Recon and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant First Class. During his service, he also earned special qualifications in the areas of Demolition, Close Quarter Battle (CQB) Instructor, Recon Course, Tactical Machine Gun, Combat Driving and Camouflage Specialist.

Sharir holds additional certifications as an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Certified Krav Maga Instructor, IDF Certified School of Combat Fitness Instructor, Israel National Police Krav Maga Instructor, Instructor of the undercover military unit, Head instructor of the Israel Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) team in Jerusalem, Coach of Israel’s top MMA Fighters, Instructor and Director for preparing teens to serve in the IDF, Coach of Israeli Luta Livre champions, Coach of Israeli Copa (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) champions and Coach of Israeli ADCC grappling champions.

SCOTT KING
Scott King is the Assistant Instructor and is the Director of ICCS' Pro Division-USA as well as a Krav Maga 2nd Degree Black Belt. He has been trained and certified as an Instructor thru the "ICCS-Israeli Contact Combat System," which is the worldwide leader in reality-based training and headquartered in Jerusalem, Israel.

Scott is also a former Private Military Operator with over 5 years of international experience overseeing security and personal protection operations in the hostile environments of Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Furthermore, Scott is also a USMC veteran with several years of distinguished law enforcement experience specializing in narcotics investigations and drug task force leadership and management.

Items Required for Class:
Bring a pen and paper, mouth guard, boxing gloves (recommended).
Dress in comfortable clothing/gym attire.
*also bring FOREARM GUARDS & TACTICAL GLOVES if you have them (for the weapon retention portion of the classes).
You may bring your own lunch or purchase it at a local restaurant.
