Don’t be an easy target!

Make no mistake, an attack is hardly ever a random act. The bad guys are selective as for who they choose as their victims.
The choice of who and when to attack is made according to one basic principle, they search for easy targets.
If you'll think about it, you'll see the truth is this simple logic.
No person, other than someone that belongs in a mental institution, will ever start a fight if he thinks he's going to end up on the losing side. Attackers always look for easy targets.
Although women, children, and the elderly, are natural easy targets for scumbags, an 'easy target' isn't necessarily a smaller person against a bigger, and stronger foe.
An easy target can be anyone who isn’t alert to their surrounding area. Even if the person is highly trained, once he's not alert, he's blind and open to all sorts of attacks. All the training in the world isn’t going to do you any good if you’re oblivious to what's happening around you.
At all times, be aware, and alert to the world around you.
